Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in Fort Collins, CO. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 4-9 years of experience in litigation, particularly in plaintiff's personal injury cases. The successful candidate will manage a caseload from the start of litigation through trial, with the support of a full-time paralegal. Duties

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 personal injury cases from the start of litigation through trial

  • Draft pleadings and motions

  • Conduct depositions

  • Prepare and respond to written discovery

  • Handle motions practice

  • Represent clients in jury trials

  • Supervise and collaborate with a full-time paralegal

  • Maintain strong client communication and deliver superior service

  • Ensure compliance with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado

  • 4-9 years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff's personal injury cases

  • Experience in drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to written discovery, motions practice, and jury trials

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Attention to detail and commitment to superior client service

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Colorado Bar

Skills

  • Litigation and trial experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Excellent drafting and research skills

  • Proficient in case management and trial preparation

  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with support staff
