Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of legal experience to join its Phoenix office. The focus of this role is complex civil litigation, construction, and personal injury matters, with a preference for candidates with insurance defense experience. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing legal environment.

Duties:

  • Provide case evaluation, recommendations, and legal support.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and draft detailed memoranda.
  • Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and related legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, court hearings, and mediations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
  • Additional membership in the California State Bar (preferred but not required).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Proven experience in depositions, motions, and court hearings.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (required).
  • Licensed to practice law in California (preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in complex civil litigation and insurance defense.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Excellent client communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in both remote and in-office environments.
