Attorney needed for Arlington Heights office

A law firm in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking an Attorney to join their plaintiff's personal injury practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience and a strong interest in personal injury law.

Job Duties:

• Handle plaintiff's personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial.
• Conduct client meetings, gather evidence, and evaluate potential claims.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation or court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist senior attorneys with complex cases and trial preparation as needed.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar in good standing.
• 1-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in plaintiff's personal injury.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Certifications/Skills:

• Experience in handling personal injury cases is preferred.
• Trial experience or a strong desire to develop trial skills.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus.
