Duties:

  • Prepare, draft, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, handle court hearings, and engage in settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and support trial preparation.
  • Maintain frequent and transparent communication with clients, ensuring they are informed at every stage of their case.
  • Stay updated on current legal trends and developments in employment law and civil litigation.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on a broad array of employment-related issues.
  • Lead and manage trial preparation, and represent clients in trials, either before a jury or a judge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases from inception to resolution.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including drafting legal documents and arguments.
  • Excellent client management skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfortable with case strategy development and courtroom appearances.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
