Worker's Compensation Attorney

Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including hearings, appeals, and other proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of case management, from initial consultation to resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Advise clients on workers' compensation and employer liability issues.
• Develop case strategies and provide expert legal opinions.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure effective case management and client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior attorneys and legal staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation and employer liability law.
• Admitted to practice law in Maryland (MD) and Pennsylvania (PA).
• Strong understanding of MD and PA workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
• Strong academic credentials with excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Licensure in other jurisdictions is a plus.
• Experience with employer liability claims is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in MD and PA.
