Job Overview:
A leading law firm seeks an experienced mid-level Capital Markets Associate to join their Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, focusing on public company securities offerings, compliance, and sophisticated finance transactions. This role offers opportunities to work with growing capital markets clients, handling public and private securities offerings, corporate governance, Exchange Act reporting, and compliance matters. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while receiving mentoring and client interaction opportunities.

Duties:

  • Assist in managing and advising on public and private securities offerings
  • Provide support on corporate governance matters, including compliance with the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq regulations
  • Advise clients on Exchange Act reporting and general corporate compliance
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and clients on complex transactions
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm's capital markets practice by offering strategic legal advice
  • Take on increasing levels of responsibility, including client contact and project management
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate law, specifically in capital markets and securities
  • Strong understanding of public company securities offerings, corporate governance, and Exchange Act compliance
  • Experience working with both public and private clients
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal transactions
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic credentials

Certifications:

  • Active law license in the relevant jurisdiction (North Carolina preferred)
