Mid-level Patent Agent

A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is actively seeking a Mid-level Patent Agent to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience, superb writing and communication skills, and at least 4 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience. A degree in electrical engineering or computer science is required, and admission to the USPTO is a must.

Duties:

• Conduct patent preparation and prosecution activities.
• Draft and file patent applications.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with legal professionals within the firm.
• Provide support in patent-related matters.

Requirements:

• High level of academic achievement.
• 4+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
• Admission to the USPTO.

Preferred Experience:

• Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies.
• Data science, AI, or networking technologies, with a focus on network security.
• Machine learning/artificial intelligence and hardware security.
