Duties:

  • Provide legal support and counsel on various aspects of school law, including special education, Title IX, and policy drafting.
  • Assist in the development and compliance of educational policies for clients.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and litigation related to special education matters.
  • Draft legal documents such as policies, compliance plans, and legal briefs.
  • Advise school districts, educational institutions, and government entities on legal issues affecting education.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies and handle complex cases.
  • Participate in litigation, including hearings and trials, particularly in special education matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in school law or education law.
  • Prior experience with special education, Title IX, and policy drafting preferred.
  • Experience in administrative hearings and litigation is highly desirable.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong client service and problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (or ability to waive in if licensed in another jurisdiction).
