Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Corporate, Securities, and Government Investigations practice group. This full-time, partnership-track position is based in Richmond, VA, and is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of litigation experience. The role offers exposure to a variety of complex litigation matters, including securities class actions, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, and government investigations. Candidates with judicial clerkship experience are preferred, and there is potential for clerkship bonuses and seniority credit.

Duties:

• Assist with a wide range of litigation matters, including securities class actions, shareholder disputes, contract litigation, and government investigations.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents for complex litigation cases.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on litigation strategy and case development.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to prepare for court appearances and trials.
• Analyze legal issues and develop strategies for resolving disputes efficiently.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of litigation experience, particularly in complex litigation matters.
• Strong academic record and excellent analytical and legal writing skills.
• Experience in securities class actions, shareholder class actions, and government investigations is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to collective case strategies.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Virginia bar membership required within one year of hire.
