Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team in Fairfax, VA. The firm specializes in a range of immigration matters including removal defense, humanitarian applications, family-based immigration, criminal immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization, and appellate and federal litigation. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between remote work and in-office client-facing events. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of immigration law, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Location:

• Fairfax, VA

Duties:

• Manage caseloads related to affirmative, defensive, employment, litigation, and SIJS cases
• Conduct consultations for potential new clients
• Perform legal research and analysis on immigration law cases
• Draft legal documents and correspondence ensuring compliance with relevant immigration laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing guidance and support throughout the immigration process
• Lead and manage multiple case files, ensuring thorough and timely completion
• Collaborate with paralegals and team members to develop legal strategies
• Participate in firm committees related to the management and operations of the firm

Requirements:

• Active bar membership
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Leadership skills, with the capacity to manage caseloads and collaborate effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in various environments
• Ability to work with paralegals and support staff through the case process

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing

• Fluency in Spanish or other languages is preferred but not required
