A law firm in Berwyn, PA is seeking a White Collar and Government Investigations Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in handling international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters. Expertise with the Committee on Foreign Investments (CFIUS), United States export controls, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is required. A general knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred. The candidate must be admitted and actively barred in the state of Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on CFIUS, United States export controls, and ITAR-related matters.
  • Manage complex cases involving international trade regulatory compliance and enforcement.
  • Support the firm's practice by assisting in investigations and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to adhere to export controls and ITAR regulations.
  • Represent clients in interactions with regulatory agencies and during enforcement actions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including responses to government inquiries and legal briefs.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analysis on international trade laws, regulations, and enforcement actions.
  • Keep updated on changes in international trade regulations, government enforcement policies, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the state bar in Pennsylvania.
  • 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory, compliance, and enforcement.
  • Expertise with CFIUS, United States export controls, and ITAR.
  • General knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting an active team in regulatory and compliance matters.

  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, including CFIUS, export controls, and ITAR.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Effective verbal communication and negotiation skills for client and regulatory interactions.
