A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join its team in Honolulu, Hawaii. Duties:

  • Represent and advise community associations, including condominiums, on a variety of legal matters related to their operations.
  • Handle legal issues such as compliance with specific laws, enforcement of rules and regulations, and collection of assessments.
  • Draft and review contracts, legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Assist with the resolution of disputes between associations and residents or third parties.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding the operations of community associations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on more complex cases and legal matters.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all legal requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Engage in professional development through training and mentorship opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborative attitude with a focus on client service.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new areas of law, particularly related to community association law.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii (preferred).

  • Strong research skills to support legal advice and document creation.
