Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation with a focus on Tort Defense and Commercial Litigation. The role involves working closely with partners, handling all aspects of litigation, and assisting with trial preparation and proceedings.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation, focusing on Tort Defense and Commercial Litigation.
• Draft, review, and respond to pleadings and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions, document review, and interrogatories.
• Assist partners in preparing for and conducting trials, including drafting motions and briefs.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Develop case strategies and manage case files from start to finish.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.

Requirements:

• Strong background in civil litigation, particularly in Tort Defense and Commercial Litigation.
• Experience in handling pleadings, discovery, and trial assistance.
• Ability to work closely with partners and manage complex cases.
• Must be admitted to practice in Florida (FL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
