Mid-level Business Transactions Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-level Business Transactions Associate to join its practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and will be exposed to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures. Strong accounting or tax experience (or an LL.M. in Taxation) is highly preferred. Excellent academic credentials, demonstrated writing skills, and strong interpersonal abilities are essential. Location:

Duties:

• Handle complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
• Support securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures
• Draft and review corporate documents, including agreements and contracts
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on business-related matters
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to manage transactions
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Manage individual client matters while collaborating with a team

Requirements:

• Mid-level associate with experience in business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
• Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures preferred
• Accounting or tax experience (or an LL.M. in Taxation) strongly preferred
• Excellent academic credentials
• Demonstrated writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to client service in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• LL.M. in Taxation (preferred but not required)
