A law firm seeks litigation associates to join its team in Redwood City, CA. This position involves handling a diverse range of complex commercial litigation matters, including insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation or judicial clerkship experience and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation.

Duties:

  • Case Management: Handle a variety of complex commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Litigation Support: Assist with discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
  • Court Representation: Represent clients in federal and state courts, managing all aspects of pretrial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Prior litigation experience is preferred.
    • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance coverage, bad faith claims, and commercial litigation processes.
  • Skills:
    • Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
