Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload, providing legal counsel and representation in insurance, construction, and civil litigation matters
• Handle all aspects of litigation, from case initiation through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Advocate in court with confidence, including making oral arguments, preparing and presenting evidence, and conducting depositions
• Collaborate closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure effective case management
• Maintain a high level of client communication and provide strategic guidance on complex legal issues
• Take proactive steps to move cases toward successful resolution, requiring minimal supervision
• Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and trends related to insurance, construction, and civil litigation

Requirements

• Active member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
• Proven ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on effective legal argumentation and client relations
• Comfort and confidence in the courtroom with a track record of successful advocacy
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while maintaining personal accountability

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
