A law firm seeks a skilled and driven First Party Coverage Attorney to join its growing team. Duties:

  • Manage complex first-party property, bad faith, and insurance coverage litigation cases.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions, and represent clients in court hearings and trial proceedings.
  • Guide clients on coverage issues, advising on litigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior partners to manage caseloads.
  • Engage in business development activities to promote the firm's services and expand client relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments and case law.

Requirements:

  • Experience in first-party property and insurance coverage litigation.
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting legal documents and managing case discovery.
  • Experience with both state and federal court procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases independently.
  • Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey or New York State Bar is required.
  • Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
