Duties:

  • Represent clients through all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures.
  • Review loan documents, financials, and demand letters to ensure conditions are met for initiating actions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to foreclosure actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of relevant statutes, case law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend court hearings and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.
  • Ensure internal and client systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Manage a high volume of work to meet deadlines for clients, investors, and courts.
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with electronic case management and client systems is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Delaware State Bar membership.
  • Admission to federal and bankruptcy courts in Delaware is a plus.
