Immigration Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team in New York, NY. The firm specializes in removal, family-based, and business immigration law, serving a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in immigration law and a strong background in handling complex cases. Duties:

• Handle a caseload of immigration matters, including removal proceedings, family-based immigration, and business immigration cases.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the immigration process.
• Draft legal documents, petitions, and motions for various immigration-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date with changes in immigration law and policy.
• Represent clients before immigration courts, agencies, and other relevant authorities.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure clients' needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in immigration law, with a focus on removal, family-based, and/or business immigration cases.
• Strong knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the state bar, in good standing.
