A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Property and Casualty Insurance Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, with a demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage and carrier issues. Experience with bad faith insurance issues is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and handle a caseload of property and casualty insurance coverage matters, including litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues to provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal opinions and reports.
  • Represent clients in court and administrative proceedings, including presenting arguments and managing case procedures.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies and case management plans.
  • Handle bad faith insurance issues when applicable and provide comprehensive legal counsel on related matters.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties to ensure effective communication and case resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage and carrier issues; experience with bad faith insurance issues is preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.
