Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. This position offers significant growth opportunities, with the potential for remote work handling Fresno-based cases. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in criminal defense and a strong background in managing complex cases. The role involves overseeing all aspects of criminal defense litigation, including discovery, motions, negotiations, and court appearances when applicable.
Location:
Orange, CA
Duties:
Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities
Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
Attend pretrial hearings and provide strategic counsel
Handle court appearances, trials, motions, witness interviews, and legal research
Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents to develop defense strategies
Manage an independent caseload while collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team
Prepare clients for depositions and work with experts to build case strategies
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Criminal Defense
Experience handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels
Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in the California State Bar
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage high-stakes criminal defense cases
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
