Criminal Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in criminal defense and a strong background in managing complex cases. The role involves overseeing all aspects of criminal defense litigation, including discovery, motions, negotiations, and court appearances when applicable.

Location:

• Orange, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Attend pretrial hearings and provide strategic counsel

• Handle court appearances, trials, motions, witness interviews, and legal research

• Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents to develop defense strategies

• Manage an independent caseload while collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team

• Prepare clients for depositions and work with experts to build case strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Criminal Defense

• Experience handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels

• Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
