A law firm seeks a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join its Kansas City, MO team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about personal injury law and committed to providing exceptional legal representation. This role involves collaborating with experienced attorneys to address complex legal challenges while maintaining a steadfast focus on client advocacy.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury claims from the initial claim stage through litigation and trial.
  • Engage in negotiations with insurance providers and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Draft various legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct and defend depositions as necessary.
  • Represent clients during mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • An active license to practice law in Missouri is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Preferred: Active license in Kansas.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid license to practice law in Missouri; Kansas license is preferred.
