A law firm in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with strong academic credentials and 3-6 years of experience in top tier law firms. The ideal candidate will specialize in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, title matters, land use, rights of way, construction contracts, and loan documents.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to real estate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and support on title matters, land use regulations, and rights of way issues.
  • Review and analyze construction contracts and loan documents.
  • Assist with due diligence investigations and closings for real estate transactions.
  • Handle real estate litigation matters when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of New Mexico or ability to waive in.
  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions at a reputable law firm.
  • Excellent academic record.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Real Estate Law (e.g., from ABA accredited program).

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
