Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience

A law firm in New York City is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with expertise in insurance policy analysis to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the field, demonstrating a deep understanding of coverage opinions, insurance policy analysis, and legal document preparation. Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies to evaluate coverage issues and determine legal obligations.
• Prepare detailed coverage opinions to advise clients on insurance matters.
• Draft and manage reservations of rights and disclaimer letters.
• Provide strategic coverage recommendations to clients.
• Engage in complex legal research and analysis of various insurance laws and practices.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and other team members on large cases.
• Handle a diverse caseload across various U.S. jurisdictions, primarily focusing on New York.
• Assume significant responsibility for client interaction and case management.
• Participate in continuing education sessions and contribute to firm seminars and workshops.

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in insurance policy analysis and coverage opinions.
• Superior academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Law review experience or judicial clerkship experience is highly desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
