Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its team in Melbourne, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation. Duties:

• Manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Oversee a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, working independently or under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Effectively manage multiple clients and legal matters simultaneously.
• Conduct thorough legal research and deliver well-reasoned written analyses on various legal issues.
• Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with colleagues to formulate recommendations for resolving legal disputes.
• Attend court hearings and pretrial conferences.
• Provide timely and professional updates to clients regarding case progress.
• Develop and implement case strategies and projections.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Courtroom experience, either as first or second chair.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic discovery tools.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar license and eligibility to practice law in good standing.
