Job Overview: A distinguished law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly experienced FDA Regulatory Associate Attorney. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on FDA regulations about product claims, labeling, manufacturing, advertising, and distribution.
  • Offer strategic advice on compliance with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), Public Health Service Act, FTC regulations, and various federal and state laws.
  • Manage client interactions with federal and state regulators overseeing product development, marketing, manufacturing, and alcohol licensing.
  • Advise clients on pre-market strategies, including product development, clinical investigations, and readiness for inspections.
  • Counsel clients on regulatory issues related to food, drugs, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and alcohol products.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies for inquiries, inspections, and product-related issues.
  • Review product packaging, labeling, marketing materials, and websites to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise associates handling FDA, FTC, TTB, and alcohol regulatory compliance matters.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements concerning regulatory compliance, including research contracts and supply agreements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Bar admission in California.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in FDA regulatory compliance, preferably with food, drug, device, and/or alcohol industry clients.
  • Expertise in food and beverage law and alcohol licensing.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), FTC regulations, and GMP standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of FDA regulatory requirements for product claims, labeling, advertising, and distribution.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, DocuSign, and Clio preferred.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and regulatory interactions efficiently.
