Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group. This role requires a minimum of six years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a strong focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The position involves representing public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in a range of complex transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and writing skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Manage structured securities offerings with a primary focus on real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Represent real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in complex transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents related to securities and real estate matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state securities laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on securities and real estate transactions.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to structure deals and navigate legal challenges.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, legal professionals, and business teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
  • Strong understanding of securities regulations and real estate finance transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions independently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
