Litigation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney for its Litigation practice in Irvine. The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of experience in complex civil litigation, with a focus on insurance litigation, municipal/public entity litigation, and commercial litigation. Duties

• Handle all aspects of complex civil litigation matters, including client communications, motions, discovery responses, court appearances, mediations, and negotiating settlements
• Take and defend depositions, draft dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices, benefiting from mentorship and team-oriented practices
• Maintain direct client interactions and work to achieve client goals
• Participate in the growth and expansion of the firm’s litigation practice

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex civil litigation
• Experience in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity litigation, and construction matters preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and handle litigation tasks independently while working well in a team environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different offices
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive for professional growth

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school in the United States
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
