A law firm is seeking a motivated and organized Associate Attorney to join their team in New London, CT. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in legal practice, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and legal solutions.
  • Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
  • Significant experience in legal practice.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
