A law firm based in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional client service and should exhibit strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to handle a diverse litigation caseload. The successful applicant will work closely with senior attorneys and partners to deliver high-quality legal services.

Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of cases in civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense from inception through resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys, partners, and shareholders throughout the litigation process.
  • Engage in drafting and preparing legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and provide in-depth analysis of various case-related issues.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and other necessary proceedings.
  • Build and maintain client relationships by providing outstanding service and legal advice.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and other litigation necessities.
  • Develop strategies to effectively manage cases and meet client goals within appropriate time frames.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
  • 2-6 years of experience in civil litigation, employment law, and/or insurance defense.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a full litigation caseload independently.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of building rapport with clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership and good standing status with the Arizona State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and the use of legal research software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
