A law firm seeks a highly motivated Franchise Attorney to join its growing team in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on providing transactional legal support to emerging franchise businesses. This position is ideal for a positive and detail-oriented attorney eager to work with small business founders on franchise documentation, including Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), state registrations, and franchisee agreements. A strong commitment to learning and adaptability within a flexible, collaborative work culture is essential.

Duties:

  • Assist clients in preparing and maintaining Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) in compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Manage franchise state registration processes and filings
  • Draft and review franchisee agreements, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Provide guidance and legal advice to founders of new and small businesses
  • Collaborate with clients on business structuring, licensing, and other essential franchise agreements
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, addressing multiple client needs and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Experience in small business transactions, preferably in the franchise or business law sector
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with small business clients and founders
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proven experience in drafting and writing legal documents
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal drafting and document management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving client needs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • High degree of computer proficiency and familiarity with legal software tools
