A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to manage estate planning and business matters, drafting comprehensive estate plans, and providing expert legal counsel to clients.

Job Duties:

  • Manage estate planning and business matters, including entity formation.
  • Draft full estate plans using Wealth Counsel, including CRUTS (Charitable Remainder Unitrusts).
  • Analyze, advise on, and revise a variety of estate planning documents.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand and achieve their estate planning goals.
  • Draft and review documents for business formations and dissolutions.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively with team members, including legal assistants and paralegals.
  • Utilize Clio Manage, Wealth Counsel, and Microsoft 365 for case management and document preparation.
  • Manage trust administration and probate matters as needed.
  • Utilize Mac computers and systems proficiently.
  • Maintain a high standard of written communication, including spelling, grammar, and style.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 7+ years of experience in estate planning, including entity formation.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a small-team environment.
  • Experience managing legal assistants and paralegals.
  • Proficiency with Clio Manage, Wealth Counsel, and Microsoft 365 preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mac computers and systems.
  • Excellent command of English language and legal writing skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in trust administration and probate is desirable.
  • Familiarity with drafting CRUTS and other complex estate planning structures.
  • Ability to provide leadership and mentorship within the firm.
