Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. The position involves managing cases, representing clients in legal proceedings, and providing strategic immigration solutions.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on immigration policies and legal options.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload and maintain client communication.
  • Conduct client intakes, including visits to detention centers.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense cases.
  • Review and refine immigration applications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law developments.
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and interviews.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal professionals.
  • Proficiency in handling family-based petitions, humanitarian relief applications, and removal defense cases.
  • Experience with case management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of any U.S. jurisdiction.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the United States.
