Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-2 years of experience to join its growing litigation team. This is a hybrid position, providing a blend of remote flexibility with in-office engagement. The ideal candidate will assist in the firm’s insurance defense cases and work closely with senior attorneys to develop strong litigation skills while contributing to high-profile cases. Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, focusing on insurance defense matters
• Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Appear in court for hearings, depositions, and trials (both in-person and virtual)
• Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys on case strategies
• Manage a caseload of varying complexity, ensuring deadlines are met
• Research and analyze legal issues, providing written memos and recommendations
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense preferred
• Licensed to practice law in California (active and in good standing)
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Comfortable handling litigation tasks such as discovery, motion practice, and trials
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California (active and in good standing)
