A law firm seeks an experienced and compassionate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team in Columbia, South Carolina. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney to manage complex personal injury cases from start to finish, ensuring optimal client outcomes while navigating the full litigation process, including trial preparation and representation.

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their legal matters, providing compassionate guidance and building trust.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their cases and legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, offers, and settlements.
  • Evaluate claims and determine the best course of action for each case.
  • Lead the negotiation process, aiming to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including drafting legal documents and compiling necessary evidence.
  • Represent clients in court, handling all aspects of trial proceedings.
  • Manage a diverse caseload independently, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strategize case management and problem-solve when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • First-chair trial experience is required.
  • Member of the South Carolina Bar in good standing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Expertise in evaluating and managing personal injury claims.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach to legal work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a member of the South Carolina Bar in good standing.
