Senior Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Senior Defense Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial experience in commercial litigation or insurance defense. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, represent clients in various legal proceedings, and demonstrate strong leadership and client management skills.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of pre-trial caseload, including conducting depositions, preparing and responding to discovery requests, drafting and arguing motions, and preparing trial documents.
• Maintain an established book of business with a portable client base.
• Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state and federal court rules, practices, and civil filing procedures.
• Meet deadlines and handle a high volume of cases effectively.
• Prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage simultaneous projects efficiently.
• Travel to Court appearances and other events within Pennsylvania and the region as required.
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs and document management systems effectively.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar; New Jersey and Florida Bar admission a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in commercial litigation or insurance defense.
• Proven track record in handling complex litigation matters independently.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, writing, and research skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
• Ability to build professional relationships and communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff.
