Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in handling personal injury cases from inception through discovery and the filing of the Note of Issue. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, including conducting and defending depositions, handling court appearances, and managing client contact. Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from inception through discovery and filing of the Note of Issue.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Attend and handle court appearances.
  • Regular client contact and communication.
  • Conduct client intakes and settlement negotiations.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, Bills of Particulars, and discovery responses.
  • Collaborate with the team to strategize and ensure effective case handling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Experience handling cases from inception to discovery and filing of the Note of Issue.
  • Ability to conduct and defend depositions.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage court appearances and case documentation.
  • Trial experience is preferred but not required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York Bar License (preferred).

Skills:
