Organic Chemistry Patent Agent

Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an organic chemistry patent agent with 2+ years of substantive patent experience related to small molecule pharmaceuticals. The candidate will draft and prosecute patent applications and conduct patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. In addition to patent prosecution, responsibilities include supporting IP due diligence, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences), and other IP matters related to small molecule pharmaceuticals. Must have an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred, or M.S. with several years of industry experience) in chemistry, with a strong emphasis in organic or medicinal chemistry. Should preferably have 3-5 years of experience. Must be registered to practice before the USPTO.

The candidate must have a superior academic background. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Must have a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction.
