Duties:

  • Client Intake & Consultation:

    • Build rapport and trust with clients.
    • Gather critical information related to liability, damages, and insurance coverage.
    • Set clear action items for the office and clients to progress the case.
  • Case Investigation & Preparation:

    • Direct investigations to uncover vital evidence and strengthen the case for trial.
    • Evaluate insurance coverage and assess liability issues.
  • Negotiation:

    • Prepare for trial while also working toward achieving full settlement value.
    • Maintain relationships with insurance adjusters and negotiate settlements.
    • Take appropriate legal actions, including filing lawsuits when necessary.
  • Litigation & Court Proceedings:

    • Draft pleadings, and discovery documents, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.
    • Strategize and execute plans for mediation or arbitration, when applicable.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with paralegals, case managers, and other attorneys to ensure cases move efficiently.
    • Review and sign team correspondence and legal documents promptly.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Valid Bar license in good standing with the state of Mississippi.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining quality service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the state of Mississippi.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to handle complex cases with a focus on client satisfaction and case outcomes.
