Job Overview: A premier law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its team in Fort Worth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with at least one year of experience in immigration law to gain further experience and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload, assist with client interactions, and collaborate with an experienced team of immigration attorneys and legal assistants.

Location:

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties:

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage a caseload and assist clients throughout the immigration process
  • Visit and conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at centers
  • Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law
  • Meet with potential clients to assess their immigration needs and develop strategies
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients' cases
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in immigration law
  • Ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward
  • Strong team player, open to collaborating and strategizing with colleagues
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and USCIS applications
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
