Job Overview: A law firm seeks a passionate and dependable Bilingual Immigration Associate Attorney to join its legal team in Las Vegas, NV. The position involves working on various stages of immigration cases, including removal proceedings, asylum petitions, family-based petitions, adjustment of status interviews, and work permits. This is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed attorneys or those with up to 1 year of immigration law experience. The ideal candidate will have strong legal writing and research skills, work well in a team environment, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings and other immigration matters.
  • Handle cases involving USCIS asylum petitions, family-based petitions, and adjustment of status interviews.
  • Prepare and file work permit applications and other related immigration documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other necessary legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, and legal staff to ensure a clear understanding of case strategies and updates.
  • Stay up-to-date with immigration laws and apply relevant legal knowledge to client cases.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to provide effective representation and legal support.

Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of experience in immigration law (newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply).
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing (required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and case preparation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience or interest in immigration law is preferred.
