Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and driven Associate Attorney to join its team in Philadelphia, PA. This hybrid position offers a dynamic environment for an attorney with 0-5 years of litigation experience, ideally in areas such as general liability, professional liability, healthcare, or labor and employment. Duties

• Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, focusing on general liability cases from initiation through expert discovery.
• Attend and participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and manage discovery processes for complex cases.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including motions, discovery requests, responses, settlement agreements, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing litigation summaries and status reports.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and maintain close communication with clients, providing legal analysis and updates throughout the litigation.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on Pennsylvania law.
• Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Experience in drafting discovery materials, taking the lead on depositions, and arguing motions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis legal research software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Pennsylvania Bar membership.
