Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm representing institutional and private lenders across various states is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team. The role focuses on creditors' rights, real estate, and related litigation. Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload within creditors' rights, real estate, and bankruptcy law.
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Provide legal guidance on issues related to TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and legal opinions.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and appeals as required.
  • Foster relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals to enhance the firm’s reputation.
  • Ensure timely and efficient case management, maintaining client communication and satisfaction.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s growth.
  • Travel as necessary for court appearances and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Active member in good standing of the Missouri State Bar.
  • Experience in litigation preferred (5+ years preferred).
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases in creditors' rights and real estate law.
  • Familiarity with discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of relevant laws (TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, Bankruptcy Code) a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and deliver results.
  • Willingness to assist in expanding the firm’s market presence.
  • Some travel may be required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar.
  • Additional Bar licenses are advantageous.
