Product, Tort, and Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience to join its Product, Tort, and Insurance Litigation Practice Group in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience managing discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, attending mediation and court appearances, and supporting trial efforts. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth in a collaborative environment while working on complex litigation cases.

Duties:

• Manage written discovery and conduct depositions.
• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, and legal documents.
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.
• Conduct legal research and draft briefs and memoranda.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability, tort, or insurance litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with written discovery, depositions, and drafting motions.
• Ability to attend court hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Excellent academic record and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California, in good standing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in litigation procedures, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
