The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in representing property owners, developers, tenants, and municipalities throughout the land entitlement and development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent property owners, developers, tenants, and municipalities in various aspects of zoning and land use.
  • Prepare and file zoning and use permit applications.
  • Review and interpret zoning plans and related documents.
  • Appear before zoning and planning boards, as well as community organizations.
  • Provide legal guidance on land entitlement and development processes.
  • Assist with appellate matters related to zoning and land use (experience in this area is a plus).
  • Conduct legal research and draft related documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Stay current with changes in zoning and land use laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in zoning and land use law.
  • Experience representing property owners, developers, tenants, and/or municipalities in the land entitlement and development process.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. or equivalent degree from a well-respected U.S. law school.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar or planning to take the Bar exam promptly after starting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar or intent to take the Bar exam promptly after starting.
