Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and attend court appearances.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients, ensuring their interests are effectively represented.
  • Manage and prioritize a large caseload with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients, helping them understand their options and establishing legal strategies.
  • Represent clients in court, including negotiations and hearings, and in all phases of litigation.
  • Maintain responsive communication with clients, opposing counsel, and firm staff.
  • Ensure compliance with firm’s standard operating procedures and client expectations.
  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy while building client relationships and gaining their trust.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing Family Law.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and firm staff.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Litigation experience with the ability to handle cases in court.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Adobe; knowledge of MyCase or family law software is a plus.
  • Friendly, engaging, and proactive with clients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality client service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, small business environment.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania State Bar license (Required).

Skills:

  • Family law knowledge and experience.
  • Proficient in legal drafting, pleadings, and case management.
  • Strong litigation skills, including trial experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Adobe, and legal software (MyCase or similar).
  • Time management and multitasking in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.
