Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-level Business Transactions Associate to join its dynamic practice group. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with complex business transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions. Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures will be considered an advantage. A strong background in accounting or tax (or an LL.M. in Taxation) is highly preferred. Candidates should possess excellent academic credentials, outstanding writing skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a client-focused environment.

Location:

  • Orlando, FL

Duties:

  • Handle and manage complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Support clients with securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures
  • Draft, review, and negotiate business transaction agreements
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on a wide range of business matters
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Work independently on client matters while also collaborating with team members
  • Demonstrate high levels of client service and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Mid-level associate with experience in business transactions, especially mergers and acquisitions
  • Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures preferred
  • Accounting or tax experience (or an LL.M. in Taxation) strongly preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage individual responsibilities
  • A commitment to high client service and attention to detail

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • LL.M. in Taxation (preferred but not required)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions efficiently
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
