Duties

  • Review client documentation for intake and approval for legal action.
  • Approve and amend legal pleadings, including motions for default, summary judgment, and post-judgment filings.
  • Maintain accurate case records and status updates in the system for client reporting.
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to improve process efficiency in managing a high-volume caseload.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and client operating procedures.
  • Represent clients in hearings and mediations across various jurisdictions in Alabama.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama (required).
  • Ability to obtain Mississippi Bar licensure (preferred).
  • Experience managing a high-volume caseload is a plus, but the firm provides comprehensive training for less experienced attorneys.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and strong overall computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively throughout the workday.
  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • No billable hour requirement.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in Alabama (required).
  • Mississippi Bar licensure (preferred but not required).
