Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, respond to correspondence promptly, and handle phone calls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of work products.
  • Meet deadlines and perform tasks as required by firm expectations.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the firm and with external contacts.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work, virtual meetings, and conference calls.
  • Undertake additional duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience advising on private equity matters, preferably with a direct AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently as required.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others effectively.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
