Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic legal team in Richardson, Texas. This full-time role requires a professional with a strong background in personal injury law, particularly in pre-litigation case management, trial experience, and settlement negotiations. The successful candidate will contribute to the firm’s mission of delivering outstanding legal representation and ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients in personal injury matters.

Duties

  • Pre-Litigation Case Management:
    • Handle all aspects of pre-litigation, including client intake, case grading, liability investigation, demand drafting, and settlement negotiation.
  • Litigation & Trial Representation:
    • Represent clients in personal injury cases through trial, presenting compelling arguments and ensuring a strong case for the client.
  • Deposition Management:
    • Take and defend depositions, working to obtain critical testimony and information.
  • Time and Task Management:
    • Effectively manage a high-volume caseload, meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Case Strategy & Navigation:
    • Navigate complex litigation processes, ensuring all legal procedures are followed and clients' rights are protected.
  • Technology Use:
    • Utilize case management software, such as Needles, to streamline case organization and tracking (preferred but not required).

Requirements

  • Active bar membership in Texas.
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in personal injury law, with strong trial experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in pre-litigation case management and settlement negotiations.
  • Excellent deposition handling skills, with the ability to prepare and manage depositions effectively.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage a busy and diverse caseload.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, ensuring timely results and client satisfaction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar license to practice law in Texas.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with case management software (preferably Needles).
